1 The Five Golden Apples
This given story is really story of fun and a story with a moral. our community is also labeled this story as stories with moral.
Atlanta, a king's daughter, was very beautiful and many princes wanted to marry her. She had a special skill of being able to run very fast, and her condition for marriage was that she would only marry a prince who could run faster than she could. Many princes came and lost the race. At last, one young boy, who wanted to marry her, meditated on Venus the goddess of love. Pleased with his prayer, Venus appeared and asked him what he wanted. He replied, "I want to marry Atlanta. She is a beautiful girl. How can I win the race?"
The goddess gave him five golden apples and said, "When you see the girl running ahead of you throw an apple so it lands to the side in front of her. The girl, tempted by it, will run towards the apple, pick it up, and will then resume running. If you notice that she has passed you again, throw another apple in front of her, just to the side. Then watch her pick up that apple."
The young prince followed her advice. After four attempts, he failed to divert the princess' attention, but the last time he threw the apple, she went to pick it up, and he reached the destination first. He married the princess and all were happy.
Similarly, maya, the power of God, is always throwing apples at us. We are tempted by hearing sweet talk: "Oh, you are very pretty, I love you. I love you. Your eyes are so beautiful. I love you." Our sense of hearing is like a golden apple. Then, if someone caresses and hugs you, you enjoy the sense of touch, which is another golden apple. We are not thinking of God, or that the power of God is giving us delusion. We are simply running after enjoyments.

Whenever there is pleasure, there is also the reverse, pain. People crave the five golden apples, which are the lure of the five sense organs. If you can turn inward, going into the center, and watch and feel the presence of God, then you will not be pulled down below. You find yourself in the first center for money, the second center for sexual pleasure, and so on.
